Nick Fuller, M.S. CMPC

Owner & Sport & Performance Counselor

I’ve been captivated by the mind-body connection in performance ever since I failed to live up to my potential as an athlete—not due to a lack of ability, but a lack of mental consistency. My confidence was there one day and gone the next. That experience led me to pursue a deeper understanding of why the mind so often sets limits beyond skill and effort.

I studied sport psychology at West Virginia University and went on to earn my Master’s degree from California University of Pennsylvania in the same field. From there, I worked with the United States Army, supporting Army Rangers, Apache and Blackhawk pilots, and infantry soldiers in building resilience and performing under pressure. These individuals are often referred to as tactical athletes, which ultimately inspired the name The Tactical Mind.

Since transitioning to working with athletes full-time, I have helped individuals across nearly every sport elevate their mental performance and separate themselves from the competition. My client base includes Olympians, All-Americans, Division I athletes, and high school standouts. I currently serve as the Mental Performance Coordinator at Bucknell University and Susquehanna University and am listed on the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee Mental Performance Directory. I also teach sport psychology at the university level.

In addition to my work in performance psychology, I have completed advanced training in clinical mental health counseling. Through my work in university settings, I have supported individuals navigating anxiety, depression, identity concerns, and other mental health challenges that impact both performance and overall well-being. While much of my work is with athletes, counseling services are also available for individuals seeking support beyond sport.

I am a member of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology and have presented at its annual conference on best practices for measuring intervention effectiveness. I hold the Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) designation, the gold standard in the field of sport psychology.
