“Our daughter began working with Nick when her fears, mental blocks, and anxiety were at the highest we had ever seen them since she has been a competitive gymnast for, a total of 9 years. She had an important competition coming up so we contacted Nick and they “clicked” almost immediately. Our daughter was able to speak very comfortably with him about her fears and lack of confidence in herself. Together they worked through it. We saw a change in her almost immediately at practice, she no longer was anxious about going to practice. Her competition came and she was successful enough to qualify for level 9 Eastern Nationals. She continued to work with Nick while preparing for this next competition. When the competition date came she was ready both physically and mentally. Nick and I stayed in contact via text throughout the meet as to how she was doing. He truly cared about how she was doing and that she was successful. Watching her out there on the competition floor again smiling and doing what she loves we know that with the help of Nick our daughter has gotten her love for gymnastics back!.”

“Our son Nicholas was a seasoned athlete in his sport which he had loved since age 4 and had achieved great success though his own physical abilities playing with older and more skilled athletes.  As the competition intensity increased when he entered high school, our son found himself with limited playing time despite the advance skill he possessed. We had concern for his well being and he steadily withdrew from us and would not open up to any causes.  We knew it was a matter of confidence and self assurance which was confirmed after brief meetings with his coaches.  We discovered Nick Fuller as a local resource for sports psychology, and met initially as a consultation.  Nick was very comforting in explaining how his system works and the success he has had with similar cases, which made sense to us. We were all in!  After the first two sessions, to our pleasant surprise, our son wanted to continue seeing Nick mostly because he was easy to talk to, and listens to what our son said. So much so that our son was not worried about the level in which he confided in him.  Imagine that coming from a traditional teenager! Our son was visibly impacted by Nicks sessions as he changed his performance on field and also his positive interaction with others off the field.  Nick Fuller has a unique way of initiating conversation through precise strategic questions which then becomes the focus of the successive sessions.  It has been a tremendous gift having Nick assist our son with his challenges and we highly recommend his services to any struggling athlete.”

“Our son was having a great HS Cross Country and Track career. He came to the attention of a private trainer at the end of 8th grade and has been diligently working, training and sacrificing a lot to be the best runner he can be. He would win all of our local district/regional races, and also some larger invitationals. However, when he got to States and Nationals some anxiety set in, and he didn’t perform to the level of his capabilities. He did well, but not as well as he could.

We were watching Ted Lasso, and when Lasso brought in a ‘performance coach’ for the team, it clicked that someone like that could help our son. I researched online to find someone that would fit the bill and connected with Nick at The Tactical Mind. He has been a tremendous help. Between indoor and outdoor track season, our son won 3 individual state championships, and came in 7th at the Nike Nationals in Oregon, as a Junior. He’s being recruited by many of the top D1 college running programs.

Nick has been instrumental in helping our son take his performance to the next level. Our son has worked with him since February, and the difference is dramatic in the most positive way. He enjoys his sessions with Nick, and I like the fact that Nick keeps me informed at a high level about how things are going, but respects our son’s privacy and doesn’t disclose any specific information. He has struck a great balance, and we all would highly recommend Nick as someone who can help your athlete get to that next level, whatever it may be.

“At a younger age, it’s really easy to physically compete with people, as you rise through the levels, High school, club, Collegiate, it becomes less about the physical side because there are a lot of athletes that can do the exact same thing as you, but there are not a lot of athletes that can mentally strengthen through obstacles and barriers. Nick has done a great job introducing me to skills that it takes to have more mental strength. He does so much for his athletes and truly cares about them.“

“As a soccer player, I sometimes felt like I was too nervous and not properly focused during games. While on the field, I often felt anxiety and couldn’t control my emotions to calm down. When I felt this, it lead me down a path of under performance. Nick really helped me understand why this was happening. He worked with me and gave me techniques to help manage my nerves to improve my performance which lead to me being a better and more consistent soccer player.”

Nick Fuller is an expert in his field and has been a great source of support for our son, a high school soccer player who desires to play at the college level. Our son plays for both his high school and for a Club team. We reached out to Nick after our son experienced a difficult high school season his sophomore year. We thought this might be the ideal time for our son to explore some of the mental aspects of the game. Nick shared strategies to deal with adversity both on and off the field. For example, how thoughts can affect emotions and behavior. My husband and I noticed a significant change in the way our son conducted himself on and off the field during his high school season of his junior year. Once again, he was faced with some tough challenges but was able to persevere and probably had his best season yet.

Nick also worked with our son on goal setting and leadership and applied them to specific areas his club coach wanted him to work on. His club coach, who also happens to be a D1 Coach, recently commented to my husband and I that he has been very impressed with our son's play and conduct on the field and feels he has the ability to play at the D1 level. Overall, we feel that the sessions with Nick have helped our son to grow and mature as an athlete and as a person. Lastly, from a parent's perspective, I really appreciated the communication with Nick. He is always available to answer questions and keeps us informed on the work he is doing with our son and the progress they are making.

“"I felt a dip in my confidence and reached out to Nick for help and strategies to combat my self-doubt and nerves. From our sessions, I have felt myself make great progress and I have been able to play more like myself again. Sessions have been very personally tailored to what I needed in that moment, which I appreciated. With Nick's help, I have been able to more effectively work towards achieving my best mental self so I could perform my best."

“Before working with Nick, I had trouble controlling my emotions before a football game or a wrestling match. I would always feel very nervous and anxious. This kept me from performing to the best of my ability and enjoying the sports I love. The Tactical Mind helped me understand why I feel the way I do before competitions and how to control my emotions. Nick helped me develop techniques to manage my nerves and improve my mental performance.”

“Nick has the most genuine passion and enthusiasm for what he does. In my entire military career, I have never seen any instructor that relishes the success of his students as much as Nick.”
